Mia Femtech and Preservé: what is new in breast augmentation?

Two newer procedures promise small incisions and a short recovery time. We put into context what is known and what is not.

New methods · 23 October 2026

With Mia Femtech and Preservé, a smooth-surfaced silicone implant is inserted through a very small incision. An inflatable balloon first shapes the pocket, and the implant slides into the breast through a sleeve without touching the skin.

The main differences

  • Mia Femtech: access via the armpit, small diamond-shaped implant, more of a subtle augmentation.
  • Preservé: access in the inframammary fold, round implant, somewhat more volume possible.

What you should know

It remains an operation with a permanent implant. The methods are new, and long-term data over many years are still lacking. If you want a lot of volume, have pronounced asymmetry or need a lift, the classic technique is often more suitable.

You can find all the details, advantages and disadvantages on the page Mia Femtech and Preservé.
